VEROTEL CHECK
US customers that do not have a credit card (or do not want to use one), but who have a checking account can pay by check online in just seconds.
How does it work?
Your customers will fill out their checking account information online (routing number, checking account number and check number). Verotel verifies the check information and supplies your customer with a usercode and passcode to access your website. This usercode and passcode is added in real-time to your website using the Verotel Remote User Manager. Verotel Check is a great alternative payment option, not only for endusers that don't have a credit card, but also for endusers that are hesitant to supply their credit card information over the Internet.
VEROTEL DOUBLE CHECK
US customers that do not have a credit card (or do not want to use one), but who have a checking account can pay by check online in just seconds. With Verotel Double Check, the enduser is asked for additional information such as drivers license number and the state where their drivers license was issued. Although this may result in slightly lower sales, with double check, it's possible to lower the number of reversals significantly.
How does it work?
Your customers will fill out their checking account information (routing number, checking account number and check number) and personal information (drivers license / issue state of drivers license) online.
Verotel double checks the checking account and personal information and supplies your customer with a usercode and passcode to access your website. This usercode and passcode is added to your website using the Verotel Remote User Manager in real-time.
VEROTEL 1-900 BILLING
Phone companies in the United States offer the possibility to charge a predetermined flat-fee to a customer's phone-bill. Charges will show up on your customer's phone-bill at the end of the month.
Verotel 1-900 billing is another method of receiving payment from your (US) Customer.
How Verotel 1-900 billing works:
- Your customer dials the Verotel 1-900 number.
- Your customer will then receive specific payment instructions from Verotel's automated phone system and will be able to select the service or content area you are offering on your website using a specific extension.
- The customer will receive a usercode and passcode over the phone which will provide access to your website's content.
- In the background the usercode and passcode will be added to your website using the Verotel Remote User Manager.
Due to the anonymous nature of paying via a 1-900 telephone call, Verotel does not offer recurring Billing in conjunction with 1-900 billing.
VEROTEL 1-900 BILLING EUROPE
Verotel's 1-900 billing Europe allows your customers pay for subscription based content with their phone. Your endusers use a dialer (if they have a modem) or a simple phone connection (for DSL and cable modem users) to connect to Verotel's premium rate 1-900 numbers. Verotel takes care of everything; the software, the downloads and the customer support!
How Verotel 1-900 billing Europe works:
- Your customer visits your website.
- Your customer receives specific instructions to either download a small executable file (a dialer), or to call the premium rate number by picking up their phone.
- The customer calls a local number in their own country, paying the premium rate per minute for the length of the call. Verotel immediately provides the customer with access to your members area.

DIRECT DEBIT EUROPE
Verotel is proud to offer yet another way for your customers to pay for access to your website. After a customer fills out their banking information online, their charges will be directly debited from their bank account!
How does it work?
In order for subscribers to use Direct Debit, they must possess a device with which they can identify himself. This could be either a mobile phone (prepaid or subscription registered) or a bank identification calculator.
Identification with mobile phone: Verotel will send a PIN code to the subscriber's mobile phone via SMS (short message service) in order to confirm the purchase. This code is entered on the Verotel Transaction server as a final check ('digital signature').
Identification with bank identification calculator: Verotel will show a unique challenge number to your subscriber. Your subscriber uses the bank idenfitication calculator to calculate a result number. This result number is entered on the banks transaction server, and if approved, Verotel will receive a real-time acknowledgement of the transaction.
Please note that Verotel offers Direct Debit Europe in Germany at this time.
Tap into the market of European users who often don't have a credit card or don't want to use one. The users in these countries are very familiar with the availability and strength of Direct Debit.
ASIAN CARDS
CHINA: China has one of the world's fastest growing economies and Internet usuage is exploding. Internet payment options are extremely limited and the spread of credit cards is in its infancy. However, with a population of more than one (1) billion, with hundreds of millions of people in the large city areas, China is the new frontier for e-commerce. Chinese banks offer their own special payment cards (PIN based debit cards). Through a special partnership, Verotel is able to offer this payment option.
How does it work?
Just select the option 'Asian Cards' in the Verotel Control Center and you will be able to directly tap into this market of millions of customers. *certain merchant payout restrictions apply
SMS BILLING
Not all customers are willing to provide their banking or credit card information to buy your content, just because they don't know what they will get!
Using the SMS Billing service of Verotel now everybody can try your content for a short period of time, by paying with their mobile telephone. Verotel sells access for 30 minutes to your website, boosting your revenue with customers you wouldn't have had otherwise!
Also all customers that experienced a declined transaction of Credit Card, Check, Direct Debit and Asian Card will receive notification that they can 'try and buy' your content for just a 30 minute time period.
All European, US and Asian phones support Short Message Service (SMS). Most countries also support Premium Billing SMS, which used in Verotel's SMS Billing service.
How SMS Billing works:
- Your customer comes to your website
- Your customer selects the country of residence and 'Try this content for 30 minutes, billed by SMS'
- Your customer is shown a webpage that states a short phone number, and the message they should SMS.
- Verotel will return, by SMS, the usercode and passcode that grants your customer access to your website.
- In the background the usercode and passcode will be added to your website using the Verotel Remote User Manager.
- After 30 minutes, the usercode and passcode will be removed from your website using the Verotel Remote User Manager.
