For credit card, US check and direct debit sales, every Verotel Classic merchant can opt for one of two different pricing plans.
Each pricing plan comes with discounts and/or surcharges, based on your selections and settings (A, B, C.). This way you will receive the right discounts if your volume goes up. Please look at the information below.

PROCESSING FEE
| Plan 1: SPLIT CHARGE |
Under this pricing plan the webmaster pays less than the traditional processing fee model. Webmasters will advertise the normal price for their subscription(s) on their website(s). The customer will see on the Verotel order page that a Verotel PROCESSING FEE of USD 1.95 (or equivalent in another currency) will be added to the charge amount. Please note that this pricing plan is only available if you charge less then USD 125.00 for your subscription(s) (or equivalent in another currency). |
| Plan 2: CHARGE WEBMASTER |
Under this traditional model the webmaster pays all the transaction charges for each transaction. The end-user will be charged the exact amount specified by the webmaster. |
A. BASE RATE
The base rate depends on the average weekly volume of the last four weeks, with a two-week lag period. For example, on November 29th 2003, the base rate will be calculated on the average weekly volume of the period from October 18th to November 14th, 2003.

B. CHARGEBACK RATIO
The chargeback ratio is the number of charge backs issued in a period of four weeks divided by the total number of transactions in that same period. Under either pricing plan the webmaster does not pay for chargeback fees, although the base rate will be affected by your overall chargeback percentage.

If the number of transactions in the last four weeks, with a two-week lag period, exceeds 200 transactions, then the chargeback ratio will be calculated. If this ratio is under 0.5%, a discount of 0.5% will apply to the base rate. |
| Plan 2: CHARGE WEBMASTER |
If the number of transactions in the last four weeks, with a two-week lag period, exceeds 200 transactions, then the chargeback ratio will be calculated. If this ratio is 1.0% or more, a surcharge of 1.5% will apply to the base rate. |
C. RECURRING TRANSACTIONS
A surcharge of 1.5%, in BOTH pricing plans, applies on all recurring transactions. (This does not apply to the first transaction of a recurring billing subscription.)
